By using a UV radiator you can forgo a large part of the chemical water treatment. However,
radiation is not effective against algae. That is why we recommend that you also add chlorine or
alternatively oxygen to disinfect the swimming pool water (before adding chemicals please always
check the PH value and set to 7.2).
2. Safety instructions
Only use the appliance in accordance with the safety instructions and for its intended use. The user is
responsible for any damage or subsequent damage caused by improper use.
Do not operate the appliance if the cable or housing might be defective.
A damaged cable cannot be repaired or replaced. In this case please dispose of the appliance as it
cannot be operated. Only safety sockets should be used to connect the appliance to the mains. It is
forbidden to operate the appliance with cords or sockets without protective contact. Always operate
it with a current-operated protective appliance (RCD or FI switch) and a maximum release current of
30 mA. The power supply must correspond to the voltage specified on the label. Never pull or carry
the appliance by the connection cable.
The appliance can only be operated if nobody is in the water.
Before cleaning or maintenance of the appliance please disconnect from the power all appliances
that are in contact with the water.
Observe the maximum permissible water temperature specified on the appliance.
3. Caution: risk of injury from broken glass
Wear gloves when changing the lamps to protect yourself from injury.
4. Caution: danger from ultraviolet radiation
The lamp (UV-C-radiator) installed in the appliance emits powerful ultraviolet light. UV radiation is
harmful to the eyes and skin. The UV lamp must not be operated outside the appliance. Stop using
the UV appliance immediately if the housing is damaged.
Tip: We recommend using non-return valves or gate valves (not included in delivery) to make
maintenance easier.
Service/ warranty provisions
Maintenance and care
Before any maintenance work, unplug the appliance. Empty any water out of the appliance.
The appliance should be cleaned regularly, at the latest when you notice it has become less effective.
When cleaning the appliance, note the arrangement of the components according to the product
sheet included.
Clean the appliance or the dismantled parts with plain water only. Do not use any cleaning solution.
Deposits can be removed with a cloth or soft sponge.
Reassemble the appliance after cleaning. Make sure all parts such as rubber seals, rubber bearings,
washers are all put back in the correct position.
You should change and clean the lamp, sealing rings and the quartz tube. Please leave all repairs of
other components to the Service Team. Likewise if there is an electrical fault.
