VPN—Virtual Private
Networking

This chapter tells how to use the VPN with IPSec upgrade option
of the WatchGuard SOHO 6 Wireless.

Why create a Virtual Private Network?

Use a VPN tunnel to make an inexpensive and secure connection
between the computers in two locations. Expensive, dedicated
point-to-point connections are not necessary for a VPN
connection. A VPN tunnel gives the security necessary to use the
public Internet for a private virtual connection between two
locations.
