23.9.6 Engines equipped with Woodward 721/723

speed governor

The electronic speed governor receives a RUN/STOP control

signal from WECS. If the shutdown sequence of the RM is active

the output will be closed (or open if so configured) and the

governor will receive a STOP signal and set the fuel rack to zero

position.

If the shutdown solenoids are deactivated according to the

instruction in this letter the speed governor will also be in

RUN-mode allowing engine starting and running.

Note!

It is not possible to interrupt the shutdown sequence of the
721/723. The engine speed must fall below 100 rpm and the
set run down time must have elapsed.
