Digital Input Total Limit
This error message appears if a Flow meter or Generic Counter digital input type receives a total
number of contact closures higher than the limit programmed in the Total Alarm Limit field.
Possible Causes Corrective Actions
Normal operation, total has been reached None
False contacts at a high rate.
Separate cable from AC voltage. Use shielded cable.
Modem Failure
This error message is caused by a failure of the process monitor to recognize that the modem circuit
board is connected.
Possible Causes Corrective Actions
Poor connection of the modem to Remove the modem board and inspect both
the Process Monitor board. mating connectors for corrosion or damage.
Reinstall the modem board.
Faulty modem board.
Replace the modem board.
Ethernet Failure
This error message is caused by a failure of the process monitor to communicate with the Ethernet chip.
Possible Causes Corrective Actions
Faulty Ethernet chip. Replace the Process Monitor board.
Non Responding Slave
This error message is caused by a failure of a previously detected slave to respond to the master. The
master will check on the slaves every 10 minutes.
Possible Causes Corrective Actions
Slave powered off Restore power to the slave
Slave disconnected from the network
Reconnect
Slave reprogrammed
Check IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and
network mode.
Faulty Ethernet circuit in slave
Test with direct Ethernet connection to laptop.
Network problem
Have IT administrator evaluate network
