Install
A.
Inspect the door and steamer to ensure the
door bushings are in place.
B.
Align the door in the steamer.
C.
Slide the hinge rod down through the door.
D.
Close the door.
E.
Install the top cover.
Door Gasket
1.
Remove
A.
Open the door.
B.
Remove the screws (Fig. 17) and gasket
plate from the door housing.
C.
Remove the gasket from the gasket plate.

Install
NOTE:
Damage to the gasket sealing surface will
allow steam leakage.
A.
Inspect the replacement gasket. No
damage to the sealing surface is allowed.
B.
Position the gasket on the gasket plate.
NOTE:
Over-tightening the screws will compress the
gasket and interfere with proper door sealing.
C.
Align the gasket plate on the door housing
and secure in place with screws. Do not over
tighten the screws.
3.
Adjust
A.
Check the door gasket quality.
•
If unacceptable, replace the gasket.
•
If acceptable, proceed with
adjustment.
B.
Loosen screws until the screw heads no
longer touch the gasket plate.
C.
Tighten screws until screw head touches
gasket plate and at that point begin counting
turns.
D.
Tighten all screws approximately two turns.
E.
Close the door and check unit for proper
operation.
F.
If necessary, tighten all screws an additional
½ turn and repeat .
G. Repeat until the door closes properly and no
steam leaks are seen around the gasket
seal.
Handle
1.
Remove
A.
Open the door.
B.
Remove screws from the top and bottom of
the door.
C.
Pull the inner door panel (Fig. 18) out from
the door housing with the gasket plate and
gasket still attached.
D.
Remove the nuts and spacers from the
handle screws and remove the handle from
the door.
2.
Install
NOTE:
When installing the spacers, the smaller
diameter fits into the slot in the door and the latch lever
must rest on top of the handle latch screw.
A.
Install the handle (Fig. 19) on the door and
secure in place with nuts and spacers.
Tighten the nut hand tight.
B.
Install the inner door panel / gasket plate in
door housing.
C.
Align the inner door panel and secure in
place with screws. Tighten the screws hand
tight.
D.
Close the door.
