Always clasp
one
conductor. If you clasp several conductors, the
currents cancel each other out and you do not obtain a measurement
result.
Thanks to permanent magnetism of the current sensor, a low current
can be shown on the display, even if no conductor is clasped. In order
to set the display to „0“ (DC-ZERO), press the REL key (8) before mea-
suring.
b) Voltage „V“/ frequency „Hz“/ duty cycle „%“ measurement
Proceed as follows to measure voltages:
- Turn the device on at the rotary switch and select the „V/Hz“ measuring range.
- Plug the red measuring lead into the V measuring socket and the black
measuring lead into the COM measuring socket.
- Select with the MODE key (7) whether you want to select direct (DC) or alternat-
ing (AC) voltage. The set unit is displayed.
- Now connect the two measuring prods to the object to be measured (generator,
switching etc.).
- The measuring value is indicated on the display. Auto Range automatically
selects the applicable measuring range.
- After measuring, remove the measuring leads from the measuring object and
turn the measuring device off. Turn the rotary switch to „OFF“.
☞
As soon as a minus „-“ appears for the direct voltage in front of the
measuring value, the measured voltage is negative (or the
measuring tips have been mixed up).
Auto Range is always active by standard. This displayed by
„AUTO“. With the RANGE key (13) the range can also be selected
manually. By pressing the RANGE key, you manually switch to the
measuring range. In to switch back to automatic range selection,
press the RANGE key for approx. 2 seconds until „AUTO“ appears
on the display.
