The auxiliary heater can be switched on and off from a dis‐
tance of several 100 metres (open space) using the remote
control. This range is restricted in built-up areas or from within
buildings.
♦
The remote control should be held vertically when the buttons
are pressed. The signals are received best by the aerials in
the vehicle in this position and the greatest range is achieved.
♦
Following disconnection of the vehicle batteries, the auxiliary/
supplementary heater remote control does not have to be re-
adapted.
♦
If the remote control does not work properly, check the remote
control battery.
♦
If the remote control is renewed, it must be adapted using
⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester.
♦
If the remote control is renewed, the remote control must be
adapted to the remote control receiver for auxiliary coolant
heater - R149- using ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester.

• Warning lamp -2- must light up green.
When the auxiliary/supplementary heater is switched on, its op‐
erating time is determined by means of the setting on the multi‐
function display.
