•
EXPLOSION HAZARD
. DO NOT use the device in the presence of flammable anesthetics
mixed with air, oxygen, or hydrogen (such as in a hyperbaric chamber, ultraviolet sterilizer or
oxygen tent).
•
NOT for use on critically ill patients, patients in shock, dehydrated patients, or hyperosmolar
patients.
•
DO NOT use the device for any purpose other than measuring Blood Oxygen ( SpO2 ) or other
functions performed by the device.
•
The sensor utilized by the device emits infrared light. DO NOT stare at the light at any time
during use.
•
The sensor utilized by the device emits infrared light. DO NOT stare at the light at any time
during use.
•
This device is NOT intended for treatment.
•
If you are taking medication, consult your healthcare provider to determine the most
appropriate time to measure your Blood Oxygen (SpO2 ). NEVER change prescribed
medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
•
Always consult your healthcare provider regarding the results obtained by the device or before
beginning or modifying any exercise program.
•
Prior to and after each utilization of the SpO2 function of this device, please inspect the skin
integrity of the finger being placed into the device to measure blood oxygen level. It is
recommended that alternate fingers be utilized for subsequent measurements of blood oxygen
level.
CAUTION
•
DO NOT use the device in the bathroom or wet environments.
•
For those with a substantial amount of staining dilution drug (such as Methylene Blue, Indigo
Green , and Acid Indigo Blue ), or Carbon Monoxide Hemoglobin ( COHb ), or Methionine ( Me
+ Hb ) or this Salicylic Hemoglobin, or Carboxyhemoglobin, or Methemoglobin, and some
with icterus issues, the SpO2 result from the device may be inaccurate.
•
The drugs like dopamine, procaine, prilocaine, lidocaine, and butacaine may also be a major
factor blamed for a serious error of SpO2 measure.
•
As the measurement is taken based on arteriole pulse, substantial pulsating blood flow in the
subject is required. For a subject with a weak pulse due to shock, low ambient/body
temperature, major bleeding, or use of a vascular contracting drug, the SpO2 waveform
( PLETH ) will decrease and could result in inaccurate test results.
•
Individuals allergic to rubber CANNOT use this device.
•
The device's Blood Oxygen ( SpO2 ) function must be able to measure the pulse properly to
obtain an accurate SpO2 measurement. Verify that nothing is hindering the pulse measurement
before attempting the SpO2 measurement.
•
Ensure the optical path is free from any optical obstacles that may cause inaccurate SpO2 and
pulse rate readings.
•
Excessive user movement during test may cause inaccurate readings.
•
DO NOT take measurements when there is water or moisture on your skin.
•
Any condition that restricts blood flow, such as the use of a blood pressure arm cuff or extremes
in systemic vascular resistance, may result in inaccurate Pulse Rate and SpO2 readings.
•
The user CANNOT use enamel or other nail polish. Fingernail polish or false or long fingernails
