Camera Settings
The setup of your camera can be easily changed by using the Camera Settings menu options.
To access the Camera Settings menu:

Press the

button from any mode.

button to select the

.
The general Camera Settings includes the following menu options:

Silent Mode
Shutter
Sets the Shutter sound ON and OFF.
Start-up
Set the type of the startup sound: 1, 2, 3, None
Beep
Sets the button (excluding shutter) sound ON and OFF.

Adjusts the volume of the Shutter sound, startup
sound, operation sound and playback sound.
Frequency
50Hz
50HZ for Europe and Japan.
60Hz
60HZ for the U.S.
Auto
Power
Off

For power conservation, the camera automatically
enters the standby mode after it has been idle for the
selected period of time. (Press any key to resume.)

The camera remains on when idle.
Date/Time
Sets the date and time.
Language
Select a language for display menus and other information:
English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Italian,
Polish, Greek
USB
Computer
Select when the camera is connected to your computer.
Printer
Select when the camera is connected to printer.
File
Numbering
Series
Stores the most recently used file number regardless of
deleted files or a change of memory card. This is useful
for avoiding the file name duplication when images are
downloaded to a computer.
Reset
Resets file numbering each time the memory card is
changed.
