Reading Measurement Results from the 2553/ 2553E
55
This format is generally used where the result is only required at a particular harmonic
(usually the fundamental). Note that the FUND
type
shown above and a
harmonic
value
of 1 in this format yield the same result.
When many harmonic results are required for the same general result, use the harmonic
array format shown later.
The
phase
portion is as described previously.
Keyword [ phase / harmonic - harmonic ]
This is similar to the single harmonic number format shown above, but evaluates the
requested result over the inclusive range of harmonics defined by the pair of integers
separated by the minus character. The order of the harmonics is unimportant. The
maximum harmonic available is 40, results for harmonics that are not available due to
bandwidth limitations are assumed to be 0.
Note that certain results do not use all of the inclusive range of harmonics (e.g.,
TRIPLENS only uses harmonics divisible by three).
This format is generally used when one or more harmonics are to be excluded from the
evaluation of the result, typically this would be the fundamental (e.g., VOLTS[2-40]
yields the total distortion voltage).
While all results are correctly evaluated as defined by the users harmonic range, this may
not always be the result intended, e.g., K-factor should not exclude the fundamental.
The
phase
portion is as described previously.
Keyword [ phase / harmonic : harmonic ]
This is similar to the single harmonic number format shown above, but evaluates the
requested result at each harmonic in the inclusive range of harmonics defined by the pair
of integers separated by the colon character. The maximum harmonic available is 40, if a
harmonic less than 40 is requested but the harmonic is not available because of
bandwidth limitations, the result is returned as 0.
This format yields many results from a single definition. The first result given is always
for the lowest harmonic in the defined range independent of the order in which the
harmonic range is defined.
This format provides the user with an efficient method of obtaining a harmonic listing for
a particular result (e.g., VOLTS[1:40] yields a listing of the first 40 voltage harmonics).
The
phase
portion is as described previously.
