Cleaning the Sensors
Always keep the media path clean as accumulated dust can affect printing.
1.
Open the clamshell to its highest position.
2. Vacuum any dust or debris from the sensors.
Use the rollers to help you locate the sensors as shown in Figure 8 .
3. Clean ink from the exit sensor if it looks dull:
a Fold a lint-free cloth to form a tip and lightly moisten with de-ionized water.
Insert it in the opening to clean the exit sensor.
b Repeat with a clean part of the cloth if necessary.
c Let the sensor dry before continuing.
4. Close the clamshell and top cover.
Do not vacuum the printhead.
