5.6.2 Critical Error Messages
Error messages represent situations that prevent the continued use of a device during the
procedure. Critical errors will display as a red on-screen popup like the below.
The possible critical Errors that may appear are as follows:
OLED Message Recommended User Action
Hardware Failure
Replace Durable The device is inoperable.
Battery Depleted
Replace Battery The main unit must be paired
with a new battery back and
sheath to continue
measurements
Sheath Opened The sheath was opened before
the device was in
measurement mode inside the
sterile field. The sheath and
battery pack must be replaced
Sheath Removed The sheath was removed
entirely from the device. The
sheath and battery pack must
be replaced
No remaining uses The main unit has reached end
of life, and cannot be used for
further procedures. Please
contact ViOptix to obtain a
new main unit
