1 Device Description
1.1 NVR Overview
NVR is short for network video recorder.
The NVR is a surveillance host connected to front‐end audio/video acquisition devices and alarm devices
over IP network and providing the functions of browsing, recording, playback, camera control, and
alarming.
The core value of the NVR lies in that it is a type of video middleware compatible with the coding modes
of various digital devices. This provides the advantages of distributed architecture and modular access
over network.
