•

Persons under the age of 18 should not operate the MATV.

•

DO NOT operate the MATV under the influence of drugs or alcohol, as
severe injury or death could result.

•

Read the Operators manual for the ATV. Follow all safety and
maintenance guidelines in this manual when dealing with a towing
vehicle.

•

DO NOT operate the Flail mower for any purpose other than what it is
meant for.

•

DO NOT operate the Flail mower unless all safety guards and protection
plates are in place.

•

DO NOT leave the machine unattended while it is running.

CA UT I O N :

•

Keep your hands away from all moving components. Rotating parts can
cause severe injury.

•

Don't stand too close to the MATV. A safe distance is approx. 1 m.

•

No other persons are allowed around the equipment during the
operation.

•

Follow ALL safety guidelines and procedures to ensure safe use of the
MATV.

5.3.3

Human

An operator prepares the equipment and starts it as described further in this chapter.

5.3.4

Operator

Every well-skilled technical person can act as an operator. For safely using the MATV, the operator
must have the following specific professional knowledge:

General knowledge of industrial safety procedures.

◼

General knowledge of operating and functioning farm machinery.

◼

Basic knowledge and skills regarding Flail mower machinery.

5.3.5

Workplace

You operate the MATV from the

vehicle’s

driver's seat. Furthermore, you need a minimum

distance of 1 m around the mower for adjustments and repair.
