Turn down and lock the infeed bin.

Close the flywheel housing and secure
it with the retaining bolt.

Re-attach the PTO shaft.

TRANSPORT, STORAGE, AND ENVIRONMENT

9.1

Transport and Storage

Essential Rules for Transport:

Keep the machine in the shipping package before installation.

Repaint parts where paint is worn or scratched to prevent rust.

Protect packages from heat or direct sunlight.

For transportation, always use the lower mounting frame.

Use proper lifting equipment, a fork truck, or a hand pallet jack.

Always ensure that you transport the equipment without mechanical shocks, knocking, or
jolting.

Essential Rules for Storage:

Before storage, check knives for wear and sharpen or replace if necessary.

Inspect the woodchipper for loose, damaged, or worn parts and adjust or replace them. Do not
forget to check the safety decals. Replace any worn decals. Alternatively, cover with a tarp to
reduce exposure and prevent weather damage.

Clean off any dirt or dust accumulated on the woodchipper and any moving parts and protect it
against corrosion by lightly oiling it.

Apply an anti-rust lubricant to the knives to prevent rust. 3-in-1 or WD-40 spray oil is a good
choice.

Store an unused woodchipper in a lockable indoor area, frost-free, clean, dry, non-humid, and
out of the reach of children and unauthorized persons.

The machine is clean.

Ensure that all liquid systems are empty.
