Detachable lights
6.4.1
Basic information

Children and animals could sustain injuries, become tan-
gled up or swallow components.
Risk of injury!
• Keep children or animals from playing with the lights, the
USB cable or the packaging.
•
If you wish to use the bicycle in road traffic, install the detach-
able lights included in delivery.
•
Fully charge the batteries before first use (see Chapter
“Charg-
ing the battery” on page 51
).
The power supply is provided
by integral rechargeable batter-
ies installed in the headlight and
in the rear light. If the battery is
fully charged, the headlight and
the rear light will each work for
up to 4 hours.

If the battery only has 20% charge left, a red signal LED will
light up in the centre of the rear light or the headlight respectively
(see
Fig. “Detachable lights”
).
•
To ensure that the lights do not fail whilst riding, charge the
batteries after every ride.
The front and rear lights are fitted with long-lasting, energy-saving
LEDs. The lamps cannot be replaced.
•
If the lights are faulty, you should get them replaced by your
specialist dealer.

operation

attaching and removing the rear light
•
To attach the light, push
the rear light into the
bracket in such a way that
the tab enters the bracket
(see
Fig. “Rear light”
, left).
• Hold the bracket steady
and pull the rear light as
far down as you can until
you hear and feel it click
into place.
•
To remove the light, tilt the rear light slightly forwards on its
underside and pull it out from above (see
Fig. “Rear light”
,
right).
