CONNECTORS AND CONTROLS

Camera Rear Panel

Camera Front

ETHERNET (Network Port)

RJ-45 port provides connection (RJ-45 connector) to Internet, Ethernet (10Base-T/100Base-T). This

connection also provides PoE (Power over Ethernet). When using PoE, a PoE device, such as the

NETSWITCHPOE-24, is required. A status green LED is provided.

POWER

A socket is provided for 12 VDC connection. 24 VAC is provided through screw terminal connections.

PoE is available using the RJ-45 connector. A red LED is provided.

A/V OUT

Connection for Audio and Video Out is provided; use the Y cable with RCA connectors provided in the

accessory kit for video out. An integral microphone is on the front of the camera. A switch is provided to

select internal or external microphone capability. Audio is not supported by ViconNet (for future use).

MIC IN

Connection for Microphone In (external) is provided; an integral microphone is on the front of the camera.

A switch is provided to select internal or external microphone capability. Audio is not supported by

ViconNet (for future use).

INPUT/OUTPUT

8-pin screw terminal block used for 24 VAC power and general input/output. Input can be used for

alarms in. Output is not supported by ViconNet (for future use).

LOCAL STORAGE

A slot for an SD card is provided for local storage.

VIDEO FORMAT

A switch is provided to select 60 Hz or 50 Hz (designated NTSC and PAL on switch). (This is used for

analog video out only.)

RESET

Use the reset button to reset the camera or to restore factory defaults. Sometimes resetting the system

sets the system back to normal state. If the system problems remain, restore the factory settings and in-

stall again.

RESET: Press and release the button with a thin object. The camera reboots.
RESTORE:
1. Press and hold the reset button until the status LED rapidly blinks. It takes about 30 seconds.
2. Upon successful restore, the status LED will blink green.

MOUNTING HOLE

There are two mounting holes provided on the top and bottom of the camera.
