The
“Video orientation”
field allows the video to
Flip
(vertically rotate video) or
Mirror
(horizontally rotate
video). Check the required box(es); check both boxes if the camera is installed upside-down.
“Overlay title and time stamp on video”
- Check if a title and time stamp is desired on the video. This in-
formation is also provided by ViconNet. (At frame size 176x144, only time displays.)
Options of Video
– There are three options; select proper mode as required:
“
Video quality first
” – This option reduces the maximum frame rate to 15 fps and clears the settings in the
Viewing Window.
“
Video frame rate first
” – This option limits the frame size to 800x600 and clears the settings in the Viewing
Window.
“
Cropping mode
” – This option allows the user to trim away unnecessary information, reducing the image
size, and transmit the image of only the target area.
Click on
Image Settings
(Advanced Mode)
to change settings for white balance [auto or keep current (main-
tain present setting)], brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness (+5 to -5; the value 0 indicates auto tun-
ing) and white balance. Press
Preview
to view the image and fine-tune the settings. When the image is ac-
ceptable, press
Save
to set the image settings. Click on
Restore
to recall the original settings without incor-
porating the changes; click
Close
to exit the screen.
Click on
Privacy Mask
(Advanced Mode) to open settings and select
“Enable privacy mask”
to turn on
privacy masks (check box) for this camera. The privacy mask prevents users from viewing video in the de-
fined area of the privacy mask window. Click on the
New
button to add a new privacy mask window; at most,
five windows can exist simultaneously. Use the mouse to click, hold, and drag the window frame to resize
and the title bar to move it. Clicking on the ‘x’ at the upper right-hand corner of the window deletes the win-
dow. Enter a Window Name and click
Save
to validate the changes. The X, Y, width and height of the win-
dow are displayed.
Click on
Sensor Settings
(Advanced Mode) to set the maximum exposure time, exposure level and AGC.
Two sets of sensor settings can be configured, one for normal situations and one for special situations, such
as a day/night schedule.
