Preset and Macro Functions Activated on Alarm
The AurorAcorD may be programmed to recall presets and run macros for specfied alarm conditions. Preset
recall is a convenient function that returns the pan-and-tilt drive to a pre-defined pan-and-tilt position (and
zoom/focus settings, if the camera includes a motorized zoom lens). The pan-and-tilt drive and lens must be
equipped with preset potentiometers in order to use preset functions. A macro provides a quick way to initiate
functions. For example, instead of keying in a monitor selection, camera selection, freeze and sequence, you
can assign these functions to macro 1. Running macro 1 will perform all of these functions in the correct
order. You may also use a macro to change a menu setting, with or without displaying the menus during
execution of the macro. Refer to the Operation chapter for more information on storing and recalling presets
and macros. Use the following steps to define up to 3 preset positions to be recalled and 1 macro to be
performed when:
•
receiver alarms are activated
•
receiver alarms are acknowledged or cleared
•
local (alarms connected to the 37-pin connector) alarms are activated
•
local alarms are acknowledged or cleared.
1. Access the Alarm On/Off Actions screen shown below.
Note: If you do not wish to recall presets or run a macro for a specific action as listed above, retain the factory
default of 0 for the Recall Preset and Playback Macro settings.

2. Access the Receiver Alarm On screen and define the Receiver Number field. The Receiver Number
setting is used to define which receiver must go into or out of an alarm state before the presets are
recalled and the macro is started.
3. Proceed to the next 6 settings, Recall Preset and On Receiver (on Rcvr). There are two settings required
for each preset. Define the preset number to be recalled using Recall Preset. (Presets are stored as
defined in the Operation chapter.) Define the receiver that will drive the pan-and-tilt unit to the recalled
preset using the On Receiver (on Rcvr) setting. Repeat to define up to three preset positions.
Note: The same receiver number may not be used more than once in the On Receiver (on Rcvr) fields.
