Activating the Source function

• Reference level Enter a reference value for the selected wavelength. Select a
wavelength, and enter the value with the numeric keyboard.
The reference value can be automatically measured, in the
Results page, using the Standard Ref. key.
• Attenuator compensation
Set the attenuation level per wavelength of the external
attenuator used for the measurement. Thus the power level
displayed is the measured power level plus the compensation
level. Select a wavelength, and enter the value with the
numeric keyboard
.
Configuring the alarm parameters
• Alarms Activation of pass/fail analysis: any result below the lower
threshold or above the upper threshold will be displayed in red
on the Results page.
• Min and max thresholds
Choice of lower and upper thresholds for each available
wavelength, from -60 to +40 dBm.
Activating the Source function
To activate the function:
1 Press the H
OME
button.
2 Select the light source icon in OTDR functions section.
It turns yellow to show it is active
.
LTS Results page
The LTS results page is split into two sections:
• the upper section corresponds to the light source activation and settings
CAUTION
The light source icons of the singlemode port and the one of the multimode
port cannot be selected at the same time. When one is selected, it automat-
ically deselects the other one.
