Avoid tugging on the housings to seat the compression ring (Fig.4). Too hard of
a tug will pull the housings out of the compression ring. A bit of excess housing
length in the down tube is ok.
Test the cable housing openings to make sure cables can enter and exit the
cable housings cleanly.
