4. Select the Tones folder or a folder containing files that can be used as
ringing tones.

A list of selectable ringing tones appears.
5. Move the [Joystick] key (Up) and (Down) to select the desired ringing
tone.

When you move the cursor to the desired ringing tone and wait for about one
second, the selected ringing tone is played automatically. After confirming the
desired tone is played, press the [Joystick] key (Centre) to set the tone.
Quick access to useful features
Setting an alarm
Your Vertu phone has a useful alarm clock function. You can display the
alarm menu in either of the following ways:

From the stand-by display, select Menu » Time » Alarm clock .

Or, if you have not changed the default settings, press the [Joystick] key (Up) to
display the Go to shortcut list (page 25), and then select
Alarm clock from the
list.
After the alarm menu is displayed, apply the necessary settings such as
alarm time. At this time, you can also select
Options to set the snooze
interval or repeat function, or to cancel an alarm that has already been set.
When there is an alarm set, the alarm clock icon is displayed on the stand-
by display.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth technology enables you to easily share images and video clips,
and take advantage of wireless connectivity by using a compatible
Bluetooth headset. You first need to pair with the other device which should
be within 10m of your Vertu phone.
The full Bluetooth menu is located in Menu » Tools » Bluetooth or in
Menu » Settings » Connectivity » Bluetooth .
Use the Bluetooth menu to turn Bluetooth on, and the Connect audio
enhan. or Paired devices menu to search other Bluetooth devices that
can be connected. Then, pair your phone with any of the detected devices,
i.e. by entering the passcode agreed beforehand with other party. You can
also change this Vertu phone’s device name to be recognised by other
Bluetooth devices using
My phone’s name , and specify whether to make
your Vertu phone discoverable using My phone’s visibility .
Adding a contact
You can quickly add a new contact using the following procedure:
1. From the stand-by display, enter a phone number, and then press the
[Joystick] key (Centre).

A list of icons showing phone categories will appear: General, Mobile, Home,
Work and Fax.
2. Select one of the displayed icons.
3. Move the cursor to the name field, enter a name, and then press Save .
4. Press Done .
Tip: If the phone is switched off, it will switch itself on at the alarm
time. Please remember this if you are in a restricted area.
Tip: Switch off Bluetooth if it’s not being used, to maximise battery
performance.
