MAINTENANCE 

System Maintenance Procedures 

It is recommended to perform the maintenance procedures listed in 

Table 2

 every 6-months to ensure continual 

system operation.

BBU (Battery Backup Unit) Module 

Refer to the BBU instructions (UM1B123000) for maintenance information. 

BBU Storage Maintenance Charge 

When the BBU is not plugged into a rack, there will be no external LEDs illuminated to conserve power.  If BBU’s are 
stored, they will periodically need a refreshing charge.  Refer to the BBU Instructions (UM1B123000) for more 
information.
