INITIALLY STARTING AND CHECKING RECTIFIER

OPERATION

Initially Starting the Rectifier

Procedure

CAUTION!

Spec. No. 561665 (R48-1000C-5) includes an internal output circuit breaker. This circuit

breaker is shipped in the “ON” position. See

Figure 25

Apply rectifier AC input power to the system by closing the external AC disconnect or protective device.

The rectifier automatically starts.

Checking System Status

DANGER!

Hazardous voltages are exposed when the cover is opened and power is applied to the

product.

Procedure

Observe the status of the rectifier’s local indicators. If operating normally, the status of these is as
shown in

Table 8

Figure 26

for location.

Ensure the front door is securely closed and the screws are torqued to 29 Kgf cm (2.9 Nm) (25 in-lbs).
