3. Positionthe lifting device so that it lines-up withthe EC-fanassembly.
NOTE: A minimum clearance of 36 in. (914 mm) from the bottom of the unit to the top of the plenum is
required for component access.
4. Using the handles onthe EC-fanassembly, carefully lift the assembly over the hinge along the top of the unit,
and slide the assembly onto the lifting device, Figure 11.8 below.
5. Use the lifting device to lower the EC-fanassembly for transport to service or maintenance area.

10.3 Blower Drive System—Forward-curved Blowers
Periodic checks of the blower package include the belt, motor mounts, fanbearings and impellers.
The units are manufactured withfactory-supplied, adjustable motor sheaves. Due to variations inapplication, youmay want
to substitute a fixed motor pulley for the adjustable sheave after youobtainand confirm the desired air flow. This
substitutionreduces vibrationand wear onthe belts and pulleys. Consult your Vertiv sales representative for more
information.
