Cleaning/maintenance.
For optimum performance, the fan heater must be cleaned regularly. The fan heater has a quick release cleaning
plate, see photo 10. The interval between each cleaning depends on the environment the fan heater is used in.
Dust on the fan protective grille and on the water battery’s aluminium fins impedes the airflow and reduces its
heat exchanging performance. The water battery must therefore be kept clean.
The fan cooling flanges also need to be kept clean, to obtain the lowest possible motor operating temperature.
1. Disconnect the power to the fan motor.
2. Disengage the quick release locks as in photo 11.
3. Removing the cleaning plate (photo 12) makes it possible to clean the aluminium fins of the water battery;
these are cleaned using one of the following methods:
1. Blowing with compressed air or steam.
2. Spraying with water. If the fins are greasy, add a suitable detergent. Take care not to bend the thin aluminium
fins.
