: Inputting the country, city, road, house number or crossing or special
facility as via point.

To adopt a newly entered via point, select the menu item “NEW VIA PT. –> Con-
firm” after entering the data.

Via point list
: Display of the via points entered so far, as well as deletion of the indi-
vidual via points.

Load address
: Loading an address stored in the address book as a via point.

Guidance
: Starting the guidance.

Spec. dest.
: Loading a special facility as a via point.

Travel info
: If you have activated C-IQ Travel Info products you can search specifi-
cally for particular facilities and transfer them directly as the via point.

GPS input
: Entering a via point by means of GPS co-ordinates (geographic latitude
and longitude).

The input of a via point is identical to the input of a destination address.

Via point input is limited in the same way as destination input when the map CD is
not inserted.

Deleting a via point
If via points have been entered for the current destination, you can display the via
point list and delete individual via points from it.

Select “Via point list” in the “VIA POINT” menu.

A list of the stored via points appears.

Select the via point to be deleted from the list and confirm your selection.

The selected via point is deleted.

Via points can also be deleted using the “TRIP INFO –> Via pt.” menu, see page 36.

Deleting via points not reached
Via points which you have not reached or which are no longer required must be de-
leted from the via point list so that the navigation system may plan the route to the
next via point or to the final destination. If a not reached via point is not deleted, the
system will continue to try and guide you to this via point.
Notes:
The maximum number of stored via points is 25.
It is possible to enter new via points en route to the final destination at any time.
Once a via point has been reached (“destination reached”), it is deleted from the list
of via points.
