Installation of the machine

7.1 Electrical installation
Procedure:
1. Also refer to the information contained in chapter "3.3 Technical data" and the circuit diagrams
in chapter "15 Wiring diagrams".
2. Check that the local operating voltage, frequency and fuse ratings comply with the data on the
name plate and with the technical data in this operating manual.
3. The main power cord must be installed by the customer, be oil-resistant, coated, have a flexible
cable and must not be lighter than a normal polychloropre, or another equivalent synthetic
cable coated with elastomer, with the identification number 60245 IEC 57.
4. The power cord can be routed into the electric cabinet from the top or the bottom (Fig. 3/1, pos.
22). Depending on the desired connection route, swap the dummy plug and the cable gland at
the connection point accordingly.
WARNING
Electrical hazard! Danger of death - electric shock!
The machine may only be connected to the power supply by a qualified expert
(electrician) and in compliance with local regulations!
WARNING
Risk of injuries due to moving parts, or risk of a fatal electric shock!
Always switch off the machine before installation work. Before starting, turn
off the main switch and put a padlock on it to prevent the machine being
switched on inadvertently. Keep the key out of the reach of other people!
Do not connect the machine if there are any deviations in the data! The
machine may only be switched on for the first time by VC999 Customer
Service personnel!
The leakage current can total a maximum of 9 mA.
