Optionally , the ZF2-210 or -240 mower can be equipped with a so-called hydro-lift
frame. The suspension trestle can be lifted on one side by means of a hydraulic
cylinder. This raises the gearbox / drive side of the cutting head ± 300mm. This can
be very practical when mowing a shallow ditch / short slope.
1.4.1.2 Hydraulically
- The hydraulic hose of the cutting head cylinder must be connected to a single or double acting control
valve.For the machine to work properly, this must be a control valve with a "floating position".
*** If the tractor is not equipped with a control valve with a floating position, it may be necessary to connect
an accumulator to the cutting head cylinder.
- The hydraulic hoses of the miter cylinder must be connected to a double-acting control valve.
- The hydraulic hose of the hydro-lift must be connected to a single or double acting control valve..
1.4.2 Transport Safety Lock
For safety reasons the cutting head has to be "locked" during road transport.
1.4.2.1 Lock cutter head:
- put the mower in the "minimum" offset position
- re-tract the cutting-head ram so the cutting head comes to a
practical vertical position
- pull the cord as long as you will hear a clear "click"
- check if the cutting head is locked.
Put the valve of the cutting head ram in the return position
and move the mower to the offset position and stop this action
suddenly.
If the cutting head does not come "down" the lock is active and the mower
is ready for road transport.
1.4.2.2 Un-lock cutter head:
- re-tract the cutting-head ram ones more
- pull the cord and put the cutting-head ram in the return position (meanwhile you put the mower in the
maximum offset position)
- when the cutting-head comes down (at least 10º) you can release the cord tension
As long as you do not pull the cord when the cutting-head is in vertical position you can move the cutting-
head up and down freely!
1.4.3 Obstacle Safety Device
The adjustment of this safety device is set so it will not come in action during
normal service.
By the special layout of the device it does not matter in which offset position the
mower is set, in all offset positions the is "break-force" the same.
By the "Perfect" solution the mower is always running at a right angle to the
driving direction (less force on the roller bearings).
If necessary you can change the adjustment of this Obstacle Safety Device.
Handle as follow:
-
remove the Power belt cover
- remove plate
-
tighten the lock nut until the bolt comes loose in the spring housing
- remove the nut
- remove the bolt
- take away the nut
