SMART-PULP
Smart Consistency Transmitter
Two-point calibration (Use both) changes both P1
slope and P2 offset parameters, so that new
calibration curve goes through both laboratory
points.
See the NOTE on the page 12.
The 4 Special grade option allows you to enter 16
different consistency levels and the corresponding
deviations detected between the transmitter’s
measured consistency and actual consistency. The
order in which you enter the consistencies is free
from software version 1.2 onwards. You do not have
to define all 16 consistency levels and deviations.
The 5 Tempr calibrations option allows you to
calibrate the temperature indications to actual
temperatures.
Pressing the RIGHT arrow key at 4 Diagnostics in
the main menu will open the following menu:
1 Loop test
2 Device status
1 Loop test allows you to force the transmitter to
the desired output current value in order to test the
current loop.
2 Device status indicates what faults the transmitter
has detected in its own operation. These are
indicated with the text ON. In connection with
HART® communications the fault are normal and do
not require any actions.

Pressing the RIGHT arrow key at 2 Sampling opens
the following two options:
1 Start sample 1
2 Start sample 2
With these options you can start average
consistency and standard deviation calculation for
sample 1 or 2. Pressing the F4 key after sample
taking will end the calculation. The transmitter will
then return the following text to the display:
SMARTPULP:tag
Sampling results of
Sample n:
Average xx.xx%Cs
Deviation xx.xx%Cs
Shear force xxx g
Pressing F4 (OK) will return you to the previous
menu. You can repeat the sampling the desired
number of times. The transmitter will remember the
latest samples 1 and 2.
Pressing the RIGHT arrow key at 3 Lab results will
enter the laboratory results: recipe number,
calibration method, ash (filler) content and
consistency(-ies). Press F4 (OK) to accept the
values.
Single-point calibration changes only P2 offset
parameter of the recipe by the difference between
LAB and sample average
