SMART-PULP
Smart Consistency Transmitter
consistencies corresponding to the selected sensor
type and pulp type. Upper and lower limits are
determined separately for each pulp type and sensor
type (refer to the APPLICATION chapter). The
programming unit gets the values from the
transmitter. If recipes have not been programmed,
LSL and USL have no significance. ”Min span”
defines the minimum permissible difference between
upper range-value and lower range-value.
You can exit this menu with the LEFT arrow key.
Pressing the RIGHT arrow key at 2 Detailed config
will display the following menu:
SMARTPULP:tag
Detailed config
1 Damping
2 Alarm current
3 Mounting
4 Blade type
5 Blade material
You can use the RIGHT arrow key to adjust damping
between 1 and 60 seconds. Besides this damping,
the transmitter has mechanical silicone-oil damping,
for which reason minimum damping is 2 seconds.
Calibration with 275 HART® user
interface with SMART-PULP
instruction set
(275 user interface without SMART-PULP instruction
set: refer to the Calibration chapter.)
When the 275 user interface with SMART-PULP
programming facility is connected to SMART-
PULP’s supply lines, it displays the following menu:
SMARTPULP:tag
Online
1 Measurement
2 Configuration
3 Calibration
4 Diagnostics
With the UP and DOWN keys you can select the
desired submenu. If you are taking the transmitter
into use for the first time, you must first select the
Configuration menu. When the menu is selected,
you can go there with the RIGHT arrow key (->).
This will open the following menu:
SMARTPULP:tag
Configuration
1 Range values
2 Detailed config
3 Device info
You will have to change certain values through
submenus 1 and 2. Submenu 3 is optional. The
order in which you change the values has no
significance in configuration, as long as you
remember that sensor blade type and mounting
orientation must be defined in configuration mode
before proceeding to calibration.
You can return to the main menu with the LEFT
arrow key.
Pressing the RIGHT arrow key at 1 Range values
will display the following menu:
SMARTPULP:tag
Range values
1 LowRnge xx.xx%Cs
2 UppRnge xx.xx%Cs
3 LSL xx.xx%Cs
4 USL xx.xx%Cs
5 Min span xx.xx%Cs
LowRnge defines the consistency corresponding to 4
mA, while UppRnge defines the consistency
corresponding to 20 mA. These two values must
be specified! LSL and USL define the
recommended minimum and maximum
