maintenance
h
Note
Replace the filters at least once a year or
after maximum 2000 operating hours. (see
section 6.6 "Spare parts and accessories"). If
the filters are heavily soiled, they should be re-
placed at shorter intervals.
Hint
A qualified person in the area of the air pollu-
tion control should carry out regular inspec-
tions. The first inspection should be performed
3 months after start-up.
Note
To avoid damaging the unit due to improper
work, the following maintenance work must be
executed by competent and trained personnel.
The functional operation of the domestic ventilation unit
requires it to be serviced once per year. This includes
the following:
• Check the general condition of the unit.
• Remove any dirt and soiling at the unit.
• Clean or replace soiled filters.
• Clean the condensate outlet and check if the duct is
free.
• Clean soiled fans.
• Check the function of the unit, the remote control and
the bypass.

Removing and Cleaning the Filter of the
Domestic Ventilation Unit
If the filters are not strongly soiled, you may clean them
with a normal vacuum cleaner.
If this is not enough, the filters must be replaced. Clean-
ing the filters with water or other liquids is expressly
prohibited.
In the operating manual in section 6.1 you will find a de-
tailed description on how to replace the filters.
6.2
Removing and Cleaning the Heat Exchanger

e
Danger!
Risk of fatal electric shock from touching live
connections. Pull the mains plug before starting
to work on the device.
a
Caution!
When removing and replacing the heat exchang-
er take care not to damage it.
Do not grab with your hand or with any objects
directly holding the heat exchanger fins. Any
damage will lead to premature wear in the sys-
tem.
Fig. 6.1 Removing the heat exchanger
