Installation and maintenance instructions atmoTEC exclusive, atmoTEC plus 0020214272_04

Caution.
Risk of material damage caused by
residues in the pipelines.

Welding remnants, sealing residues, dirt or
other residues in the pipelines may damage
the product.

Flush the heating installation thoroughly
before installing the product.

Caution.
Risk of damage caused by incorrect gas
installation.

Excessive test pressure may cause damage
to the gas valve assembly.

Check the tightness of the gas valve as-
sembly using a maximum pressure of
1.1 kPa (110 mbar).

Caution.
Risk of material damage due to heat trans-
fer during soldering.

Only solder connectors if the connectors
are not yet screwed to the service valves.

Caution.
Risk of material damage caused by corro-
sion

Due to non-diffusion-tight plastic pipes in the
heating installation, air gets into the heating
water. Air in the heating water causes corro-
sion in the heat generator circuit and in the
product.

If you use non-diffusion-tight plastic pipes
in the heating installation, ensure that no
air gets into the heat generator circuit.

5.1

Installation requirements

5.1.1

Information on liquid gas operation

In the as-delivered condition, the product is preset for opera-
tion with the gas group indicated on the data plate.

If you have a product that has been preset for operation with
natural gas, you must convert it to run on liquid gas. You will
need a conversion set for this. The conversion procedure is
described in the manual supplied with the conversion set.

5.1.1.1 Purging the liquid gas tank

If the liquid gas tank is not purged properly, this may result in
ignition problems.

Ensure that the liquid gas tank has been purged properly
before installing the product.

If required, contact the filler or the liquid gas supplier.

5.1.1.2 Using the correct gas type

Using the incorrect gas type may cause fault shutdowns in
the product. Ignition and combustion noise may occur in the
product.

Only use the gas type listed on the data plate.

5.1.2

Basic preparation for the installation

Provide a discharge pipe between the expansion relief
valve's discharge opening and the tundish with siphon.

The discharge must be visible.

If plastic pipes are used in the heating installation, install
a suitable limit thermostat on the heating flow on-site.

Check whether the volume of the installed expansion
vessel is sufficient for the heating system.

If the volume of the installed expansion vessel is insuffi-
cient, install an additional expansion vessel, connected
as close to the product as possible, in the heating return.

If you are installing an additional expansion vessel, either
install a non-return valve in the product outlet (heating
flow) or decommission the internal expansion vessel.

Flush out the supply lines thoroughly prior to installation.

Install a filling device for the heating installation on-site
and in accordance with the relevant standards.

Applicability:

Product with integrated hot water generation

When using the product in solar systems for drinking
water post-heating, use thermostatic mixing valves up-
stream and downstream of the product.

The temperature at the product's cold water connec-
tion (combined with the domestic hot water connec-
tion for the solar cylinder) must not exceed 70 °C

5.2

Installing the gas connection

1.

Make sure that the existing gas meter is capable of
passing the rate of gas supply required.

1

2.

Install the gas supply at the gas connection

(1)

in com-

pliance with the applicable standards.

3.

Purge the gas line.
