Getting

Connected

If your company’s proxy server doesn’t authenticate users, then you

may be able to leave the username and password fields blank.

Click

For the proxy settings to take effect, you must restart the Monitor.

a) Right-click the Wireless Sync icon in the system tray again and choose

Exit

b) Launch the Monitor by clicking the

Start

button. Then navigate to

Programs

→

Wireless Sync

→

Wireless Sync Client.

Upgrading Your Wireless Sync Software

Point your web browser to

http://www.wirelesssync.vzw.com

You will be asked to log in. Type your user name (this will be your 10 digit

Mobile Number, e.g. 4044550001) and your permanent VTEXT password.

Select the

Setup

menu in the top right hand corner of the web page, and then

click

Account

. This will bring you to the screen below:

Click the

Update Software

link in the middle of the web page.

Click the

Install

button and follow the subsequent installation wizard. This

will update any Wireless Sync software on your machine.

PC Monitor

If your PC Monitor is running on this computer, it will be upgraded by the

installation wizard.

If your PC Monitor and your XV6600 were installed from separate computers, you will

need to execute these installation steps from both computers.
