Connecting zones
Connect zone wires as shown in Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6, and Figure 7
above. Line resistance is shown in Table 4 below.

[1] Mixed zones are not permitted in installations requiring EN 54-13 or intrinsically-safe
configuration.
To measure the line resistance:
1. Create a short circuit at the end of the zone line.
2. Measure the resistance between the positive and negative lines with a
multimeter.
Note: The default zone detection settings for each operating mode can be found
in Appendix A “Configuration presets” on page 79. To change the zone detection
setting, see “Advanced configuration” on page 39.
