Maintenance for the various feed assemblies

is very similar; variations occur as noted. See
“Feed Assemblies”, page 90. Refer to Figure
31 and proceed as follows:

DISASSEMBLY

1. Disconnect and lock out power source.

Remove funnel hopper, hand knobs and
upper enclosure.

2.. Remove feed adapter. Remove four (4)

hex nuts and clamp screws (Figure 31). Lift
adapter evenly by using a slight rocking
motion. Handle adapter carefully to avoid
damaging machined surfaces.

3. Remove cutting head. Four fasteners

hold cutting head in place. Lift carefully
over impeller and remove from machine.

4. Remove impeller. Three (3) fasteners

hold impeller to impeller shaft.

NOTE:

Dio-Cut impeller for 3" cutting head

has an impeller plate with “O” ring. Some
impellers for 2" cutting heads have a seal
mating ring and retainer fastened to the
bottom of impeller. Handle impeller careful-
ly so as not to damage this ring.

5. Remove cutting head adapter from spin-

dle flange (2" cutting heads only). Some
adapters have a carbon face or teflon seal.
