1.3.2 REMOTE MANAGEMENT
With a DTMF telephone it is possible to perform a remote management of devices connected to the dialer
relay output. In detail it is possible to:
Activate and deactivate Urmet 1430/3 or Simon Urmet Ref. 10632 and 10632.B thermostats.
Con
fi
gure the output relay state (relay excited or not excited).
It is also possible to activate the environmental listening function. In order to use this function, the
Ref. 1061/003 voice module (optional) must be installed. When this function is active, it is possible to listen
for 1 minute what happens in the environment where the “voice module” is placed. In this way it is possible
to understand off-site what is happening in that room.
To activate the remote management perform as follows:
User action
Dialer answer
(signal and voice message)
1
Digit the dialer telephone number
“Good morning, enter the password followed by
button #”
2
Perform authentication procedure by
entering the password, followed by button
#
If the password is accepted:
“Correct password, programming procedure
enabled”
If the password is not accepted:
“Wrong password”
3
Send the desired command by digiting:
1 = Thermostat power up
2 = Thermostat power off
3 = Relay closing
4 = Relay opening
9 = Environmental listening activation
0 = Telephone connection closing
Beep
Thermostat activated
Beep
Thermostat deactivated
Beep
Output activated
Beep
Output deactivated
Beep
Environmental listening activated
Beep
, then the telephone connection is closed
If a wrong command is entered (for example by pressing the buttons 5, 6, 7 or 8), the dialer will answer with
a long beep and the voice message
Invalid code, enter again
.
It is possible to send several commands in sequence until the connection is active, i.e. until the command 0
is sent. For example, it is possible to close the relay and then open it again after 30 seconds, or extend the
environmental listening time, by sending a new command 9 within 60 seconds.
In case of inactivity for more than one minute, i.e. for over one minute any button has not been pressed, the
dialer automatically closes the telephone connection in progress (the relay state does not change).
The remote management is also active during alarm calls. If, while receiving an alarm call, during a pause,
one of the available commands is entered (1, 2, 3, 4 or 9) the alarm call cycle is stopped (see paragraph
Alarm calls cycle interruption) and the selected remote device is activated; the dialer sends the programmed
answer (signal and voice message).
1.3.3 CALL DIVERSION FUNCTION
The telephone number associated during the programming procedure to the call diversion function
(parameter 100) is always called as
fi
rst number for any alarm event (all the inputs and tamper). This means
that it is called in addition to the telephone numbers programmed for the alarm in progress and before
them.
The call diversion function must be specially enabled during the programming procedure (parameter 630).
Warning
: if the telephone number associated to the call diversion function is the only programmed number,
i.e. all the other telephone numbers are empty, in case of an alarm it will be called also if the call diversion
function is disabled.

2. PROGRAMMING
2.1 PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
To perform the programming procedure, the dialer must be in standby, i.e. no alarm events, alarm call cycle
or remote management must be active. To activate the programming procedure perform as follows:
1. Connect a DTMF telephone to the suitable dialer RJ12 socket.
2. Pick up the handset and press the programming button. The dialer will answer with “Good morning,
enter
the password followed by button hash #
”.
3. Enter the access password (default 000000) followed by the button
. Every time a button is pressed,
the dialer sends a con
fi
rmation beep.
4. If the entered password is correct, the dialer answers with the voice message Correct password,
Programming procedure enabled
; otherwise is received the message
Wrong password
and the
password must be entered again.
5. After the password has been accepted, it is possible to con
fi
gure the parameters. The con
fi
guration
sequence is not important.
If is entered a not valid parameter or value, the device answers with the voice message
Not valid, enter
again
.
To program the parameters digit the codes on the telephone keypad in the following format:
PARAMETER CODE +
(enables the parameter con
fi
guration)
VALUE +
(value assignment to the parameter)
To check the correct parameter con
fi
guration, digit:
PARAMETER CODE +
Every time the button
is pressed, the dialer sends a voice message to con
fi
rm the parameter or the
value just entered. Before entering a value, wait until the voice message is completed.
To end the programming procedure, hang up the handset.
