Signalling LED
The dialer is equipped with a
fl

LED, placed in the front panel, used to signal the device correct operation and state.
The LED can signal:

Green

Red

Yellow
Programming state
A fast blinking LED means that an alarm call is in progress.
A slow blinking LED means that an alarm calls cycle is in progress, but the call is not in progress (interval
between two consecutive calls).
1.2 OPERATION PRINCIPLES
1.2.1 VOICE ALARM MESSAGE STRUCTURE
The voice alarm message is composed by two parts:
The basic message, containing information as user name and place where the event occurred.
The event message, specifying the occurred event. There are 4 different event messages, one for every 4
alarm inputs of the dialer. The event messages follows immediately the main message.
All the messages can be customized.
1.2.2 ALARM DETECTION
The telephone dialer detects an alarm when the state of an input changes. Every input is associated to a
speci
fi
c voice alarm message and to different telephone numbers to be dialled.
When an input detects an alarm state, the alarm call procedure starts.

1.2.3 ALARM CALL PROCEDURE
When a dialer input detects an alarm signal, the following operations are performed:
PSTN telephone network for the devices connected after the dialer is disconnected and telephone
conversations, if present, are interrupted (for dialers with PSTN module only).
The telephone dialer seizes the telephone line.
The
fi
rst cycle of voice calls is performed. For every call the alarm message is repeated for 3 times.
If the SMS messages sending feature has been enabled (parameter 509), after the
fi
rst cycle of calls, an
alarm SMS message is sent to all the telephone numbers associated to the alarmed input. The message
text is: “Urmet Security System - Alarm on input X”, where X may be 1, 2, 3 or 4 and indicates the input
in alarm state.
The other programmed voice call cycles are performed.
The alarm call of input 1 has an higher priority than the alarm call of input 2, etc., i.e. if several alarm events
occur, the alarm of input 1 is signalled before all the others, etc.
1.3 FUNCTIONS
1.3.1 ALARM CALL CYCLE INTERRUPTION
During the call cycle, every programmed number is called from 1 to 5 times, according to the programmed
parameter.
The telephone alarm message is repeated for 3 times, as shown in the following diagram, where “basic
message” is the customized message recorded by the user (for example “Paolo Verdi’s apartment, via
Roma 15, Milano”) and “event message” is the alarm message associated to every input.
Each time the alarm message is repeated, a short “beep” will be heard, followed by a pause of 5 seconds.
After the alarm message has been repeated as many times as programmed in the con
fi
guration, the dialer
stops the communication and calls the next telephone number stored for this event kind, if present.

It is possible to stop in advance the calls cycle by dialling, during the 5 seconds pause, the code 22 with a
DTMF telephone. In this case, the message will not be repeated, other telephone numbers programmed for
that event kind will not be called and SMS will not be sent, if enabled.

CYCLE BLOCK
This function is especially useful when several telephone numbers has been programmed for the same
event (for example of
fi
ce telephone, mobile or telephone of parents or other relatives), because are avoided
not necessary alarm signalling after the
fi
rst alarm has been received.
After the call cycles has been stopped, it is possible to send commands to the device with DTMF tones (see
the following paragraph).
To stop the telephone call press the button 0!
