Handling and main-
taining your Uponor
manual pressing tool
MLC:
Always use the tool
in accordance with
the relevant accident
prevention regulations.
Use the tool for its
intended purpose only.
Use the tool exclusively
for the pressing of
Uponor fittings.
Do not drop, throw or
hit the tool (with pli-
ers, hammer etc.).
Use only original
Uponor-approved
Uponor inserts MLC in
the tool.
Protect the tool from
impurities (such as
dust, mortar, cement,
etc.), and clean im-
mediately to prevent
corrosion damage.
Store the tool in a safe,
dry place (e.g. in the
Uponor tool case.
Always check and/or
clean the tool before
starting work:
Check the tool for
signs of visible damage
(e.g. cracked mate-
rial, protrusions in the
hardened material).
DO NOT use damaged
pressing tools.
Check the Uponor
inserts MLC to ensure
that they are of the
correct size.
Keep the Uponor
inserts MLC as well as
their retainers always
clean.
Carry out regular
checks:
(at maximum intervals of
four weeks):
Regularly oil all moving
parts and linkages.
If in case of conven-
tional use, the Uponor
manual pressing tool
MLC, resp. the both
Uponor inserts MLC
should not be closed
at the Uponor inserts
MLC, a factory-made
adjustment of the pre-
stressing is required.
Regular inspection
and maintenance
IMPORTANT! After 10.000 pressings
or after two years at the latest, the
Uponor manual pressing tool MLC
and the Uponor inserts MLC must be
checked by the Uponor maintenance
service.
