Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, and
some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
OTE:
This warranty applies only to systems sold for use within the United States of
America. If the system was purchased for export from the U.S.A., please see the international
warranty included with the system.
5.2
I-WARRATY SERVICE
A defective laser system may be shipped to Universal Laser Systems, Inc. F.O.B. Scottsdale,
Arizona after an R.M.A. number has been issued. Please call for an R.M.A. number. Systems
will not be accepted without an R.M.A. number. Defective units will be repaired or replaced at
manufacturer's option depending upon the severity of the defect. Charges, if any, will be assessed
pursuant to the provisions of the Universal Laser Systems, Inc. warranty policy. The equipment
must be packed for shipment per Section 5.4. A description of the problem along with the
owner's name, address, telephone number, and equipment serial number should be included.
The equipment will be repaired, tested for proper performance, and burned-in for 24 hours. It
will then be shipped prepaid to the owner. A brief description of the work performed and
materials used will be included with the equipment.
5.3
OUT-OF-WARRATY SERVICE
The procedure for out-of-warranty service is the same as that for in-warranty service except that a
minimum charge is used. This minimum charge guarantees a repair estimate and is used as credit
against actual material and labor costs. A purchase order must be received by Universal Laser
Systems, Inc. before repair work may be started.
5.4
REPACKAGIG FOR SHIPMET
A tag must be attached to returned equipment listing the owner's name, address, and phone
number. The complete equipment serial number and a description of the service requested must
also be included.
The original shipping container should be used if possible. In any case, the equipment must be
packaged so as not to be damaged in transit. New shipping containers can be purchased through
ULS.
