5.10 CONFIGURATION
A completed configuration will contain the Sageon 200A, battery, and site parameter values that are to be
measured, monitored, and, when user-specified values are exceeded, used to generate an alarm. You can
create a configuration using either of the following methods.
•
Create a new configuration – To create a new configuration only a PC running Sageview is needed.
This method is used to develop the initial configuration and allows a configuration to be created while
the Sageon 200A is being installed. It can also used to develop a configuration that is significantly
different from other on-site configurations, where the benefit derived from editing an existing
configuration is minimal.
A network connection is not required to create the configuration, however, one will be needed to
transfer the configuration to the Sageon 200A.
•
Edit an existing configuration – When the configuration to be developed is similar to an existing
configuration, considerable time can be saved by downloading a similar configuration from a
configured Sageon 200A. Developing the configuration is then a simple matter of editing parameters,
saving the new configuration, and uploading to the same or another Sageon 200A.
5.10.1 Create a New Configuration
1.
Load Sageview on the PC as described earlier in this chapter.
2.
Start Sageview. The main screen will appear.
•
If there is no network connection, the main screen will be incomplete and there will be no
parameters or parameter values. The network status in the lower left corner of the screen will be
red with “Disconnected” displayed. See the background screen in Figure 5-3.
•
If there is a network connection to a configured Sageon 200A, the screen in Figure 5-2 will
appear.
3.
Click the
SCU
icon in the toolbar to display the
SCU Parameters
screen. Figure 5-3 below shows
the
SCU Parameters
screen overlaying the Sageview
Main
screen.
4.
Type the requested parameter values into the screen’s text boxes.
5.
Click the
Battery Parameters
button in the upper right corner of the screen. Type the requested data.
When the entries are complete, click the
OK
button. The dialog box will close and a yellow dot will
appear on the button.
6.
Click the
Reporting Options
button and type the requested data. Type the requested data. When the
entries are complete, click the
OK
button. The dialog box will close and a yellow dot will appear on
the button.
7.
Click the
Save to Disk
button. When saving the screen for later download, be sure to name the file for
easy identification. This is particularly true when creating several configurations.
If a parameter is out of range, a Warning box will be displayed stating the allowable range. Close the
box and correct the entry. Again, click the
Save to Disk
button. If another parameter is out of range,
another message will appear stating the allowable range for the parameter. This process will continue
until all parameters are within range.
8.
Click the
RECT
icon in the toolbar to display the
Rectifier Parameter
dialog box. See Figure 5-4.
9.
Type the requested data.
