Connecting the Base and Charging the Handset
CAUTION: To avoid risk of fire and shock, use
only the Uniden AAD-255 AC adaptor.
NOTE: Do not place the power cord where it
creates a trip hazard or where it could become
chafed and create a fire or electrical hazard.
1. Connect the AC adaptor to the yellow power connector
(labeled
DC IN 9V
).
A) Place the AC adaptor behind the adaptor channel
guide and line it up with the yellow power connector.
B) Push the adaptor into the connector.
C) Turn the adaptor towards the rear of the base so the
adaptor head fits in the AC adaptor channel.
2. Connect the AC adaptor to a standard 240V AC wall outlet.
3. Place the handset in the base with the LCD screen facing
forward.
4. Make sure that the
charge
Light comes on. If the LED does not come on, make sure the AC adaptor is
plugged in and the handset makes good contact with the charging contacts.
5. Charge your handset at least 15 hours before plugging into the phone line.
NOTE: For optimum battery life, make sure the handset is fully charged before plugging in
the phone line.
