Illustration 11 : Using the Logic Analyzer
1. Setting the LA channel :
(1) Insert the LA probe into the interface at the rear of the oscilloscope.
(2) Press the LA function key to access the LA menu.
(3) Press [F1] to activate the LA function, then press [F2] for channel setup.
(4) Press [F1] and then the multifunction control knob to select channel. Press [F3]
to open that channel, and then press [F2] and turn the multifunction control
knob to shift that channel.
(5) Repeat step 4 until all required channels are displayed.
(6) Press [F5] to go to the next page. Press [F2] to set waveform height to “High”
then press [F5] to return to the LA menu.
The above channel selection and shifting operations must be set with the
multifunction control knob. If you have to open more than one channels, press [F4] in
the channel setup menu to open channels D0-D7, then press [F5] to go to the next
page and press [F1] to open channels D8-D15. In the LA menu, you can press [F5] to
automatically arrange the channels on display in sequence.
2. Using LA functions :
Set all LA channels as explained above. Input a signal to one or several channels, then
press [MENU] in the trigger zone. Press [F1] to select trigger type to LA trigger, then
press [F2] to select sub-type. By pressing [F3], you can set the trigger qualifier status.
Press [F4] to select trigger mode and [F5] to set the clock (When the sub-type is
“pattern”) or duration (when sub-type is “duration”). The LA can be used
concurrently with the analog channel.
