- Press [NdB On Off] key, set NdB on, at this moment,
N defaults to 3. In case of change required, press [NdB]
key, and input numbers.
3. Read measurement results
Measurement result is displayed in active function area.
Bandwidth obtained by current marker descending 3dB is
31.666kHz, as shown in Figure 4-8:

4.5 Measurement of Adjacent Channel
Power
In the following example, continuous-wave signal (500MHz,
-10dBm) generated by signal generator (Agilent E4421B)
as signal to be measured.
Operation steps:
1. Connect equipment
Connect signal output of signal generator with RF input on
the front panel of spectrum analyzer.
2. Use adjacent channel power to measure signal power
1) Reset instrument
- Press PRESET key.
2) Set parameters
- Press FREQ key;
- Press [Center frequency] key, and input 500MHz;
- Press MEAS key;
- Press [Adjacent channel power] key.
3. Read measurement results
Measurement results are displayed in the second half of split
screen window, as shown in Figure 4-9:
Main channel power: -9.22 dBm;
Power for lower adjacent channel of first adjacent channel:
-61.83 dBm;
