3.3.3.3 [Pre-amplification On Off]
Set on/off of pre-amplifier. When test a very weak signal,
open pre-amplifier for amplification, so as to improve
receiving sensitivity of spectrum analyzer and to more
accurately test signal characteristics.
3.3.3.4 [Scale/degree]
Warning
When measure high-power signal or unknown-power
signal, please close pre-amplifier. Otherwise, pre-
amplifier or mixer may be burnt down.
-10dBm, and reference level is set less than or equal to
-10dBm (pre-amplifier off), values of input attenuator
can be set as 0dB in “manual mode”.
Set every scale in vertical axis. This function only can be
used when scale type is logarithmic. Select logarithmic
amplitude scale as 1, 2, 5 or 10dB. It defaults to 10dB/
degree. Any activated frequency markers take dB as unit,
frequency marker difference take dB as its unit to read the
difference between two frequency markers.
Notes:
Adjust amplitude range currently can be displayed by
setting different scale. Signal amplitude range currently
can be displayed: “-10×current scale” to “reference level”.
You can use number keys, knob and direction keys to revise
this parameter.
3.3.3.5 [Scale types Linear Logarithmic]
Select scale in vertical axis displayed in linear or
logarithmic mode; it defaults to logarithmic scale.
Notes:
Select logarithmic scale, vertical axis is logarithmic
coordinate, the top of grid is reference level, every
degree is scale value; when switch linear scale to
logarithmic scale, unit of Y-axis automatically changes to
default unit dBm in logarithmic scale mode. Select linear
scale, vertical axis is linear coordinate, the top of grid is
reference level, the bottom of grid is 0V, every degree is
10% of reference level, and the setting of scale is invalid.
When switch logarithmic scale to linear scale, unit of Y-
axis automatically changes to default unit Volts in linear
scale mode. Scale types don’t affect the setting of unit of
Y-axis.
