3.3.4.2 [Resolution stepping Default Continuous]

Adjust resolution bandwidth, change resolution stepping in
1-3-5 default stepping mode or “continuous” stepping mode.

3.3.4.3 [Video bandwidth Auto Manual]

Set video bandwidth to filter noise except video.

Set video bandwidth in auto or manual mode. Highlighted
line under Auto or Manual indicates bandwidth is in auto
mode or manual mode. When video bandwidth is in
manual mode, press [Video bandwidth Auto Manual] to
highlight underline under Auto to return back to auto mode.
If video bandwidth is less than or equal to 100Hz and

automatically determines resolution bandwidth depending
on span set by user.

Notes:

Higher frequency resolution can be obtained by reducing
resolution bandwidth, but it would lead to longer sweep
time (in case sweep time is in auto mode, it is affected
by resolution bandwidth and video bandwidth).
If resolution bandwidth is in auto mode, it would become
smaller with smaller span (non-zero span).

3.3.4.4 [Trace average On Off]

Enable or disable trace average function. Trace average is
able to smoothly display trace, no need of narrow video
bandwidth. This function sets wave detector in sampling
mode, meanwhile, it continues to everage and smooth the
trace.

3.3.4.5 [Sweep time Auto Manual]

Set sweep time in auto or manual mode. In manual mode,
set time for completion of one sweep by spectrum analyzer
within sweep range.

Notes:

resolution bandwidth is more than or equal to 300Hz,
wave detector will be automatically in sampling mode.

Notes:

Spectral line can be smoother by reducing video bandwidth
so that small signal flooded in noise can be distinguished,
but it would lead to longer sweep time (in case sweep
time is in auto mode, it is affected by resolution bandwidth
and video bandwidth). In auto mode, video bandwidth
changes with the change of resolution bandwidth; in
manual mode, it is not affected by resolution bandwidth.
