4.7 Measurement of Occupied Bandwidth
In the following example, continuous-wave signal (500MHz,
-10dBm) generated by signal generator (Agilent E4421B)
as signal to be measured.
Operation steps:
1. Connect equipment
Connect signal tput of signal generator with RF input on the
front panel of spectrum analyzer.
2. Use occupied bandwidth to measure distribution of
signal power
1) Reset instrument
- Press PRESET key.
2) Set parameters
- Press FREQ key;
- Press [Center frequency] key, and input 500MHz;
- Press MEAS key;
- Press [Occupied bandwidth On Off] key, set occupied
bandwidth on.
3. Read measurement result
Measurement result is displayed in the second half of split
screen window, occupied bandwidth is 35kHz, as shown in
Figure 4-11:
