5 - Changing Default Settings

Set Laser Power Multiplier (LPM)
Adjusts laser power so as to achieve proper density on different
photo materials.
1. Depress Menu Button and the UP or DOWN Arrow Buttons until the
LPM function is displayed.
2. Depress either the LEFT Arrow Button or the RIGHT Arrow Button
until the desired LPM is displayed on the LCD.
3. Depress the Enter Button. Depress the Menu Button to return to
the Machine Status Display.

NOTE: During operation many RIPs will set the LPM to a selected
value. This RIP selected value will over-ride any LPM value set
through the control panel and will set a new default LPM.

Set Laser Power Range (LPR)
Because the Imagesetter has a much wider power range than
other Ultre imagesetters, the LPR function has been added to that
compatibility can be maintained for the LPM function. The LPR
function selects a range, either low, medium or high, through
which the LPM factor above will have effect.
