1. GATEWAY-485A /GATEWAY-485B are used for the Smart Meter Gateway connection.
2. NET1-485A/NET1-485B and NET2-485A/NET2-485B are used for Master/Slave connection.
3. COM is connected with the earth of the secondary circuit.
Put the back cover
20
back on and fix it in place with the 7 screws for the back cover
19
.
Now hang the EV charger
1
onto the metallic rear panel
18
and hang it onto the wall, completely
over the metallic rear panel
18
.
Now screw the 4 fastening screws
6
through the EV charger
1
onto the metallic rear panel
18
.
Check that the emergency stop switch
5
is not pressed. It can be released by rotating it in a
clockwise direction.
Voltage can now be applied to the power line to which the EV charger
1
is connected.
CAUTION:
If you are not using an energy management system, Master/Slave function or a Smart
Meter, the cable glands for energy management
25a
and the Master/Slave cable gland
26
remain
unused. In this case, leave the prefitted blanking plugs
25
in place, to guarantee that the device is
sealed.
LCD display for basic settings:
Undo the 4 screws for the basic settings cover
36
on the side of the EV charger
1
.
Remove the basic settings cover
35
and put it on one side.
With the cover detect switch
38
, the device automatically detects that the basic settings cover
35
is
not there and displays the settings on the digital charging display
3
.
Setting the max. charge current:
Setting the max. charge current. So that no circuit breakers (building protection) which are posi-
tioned before the EV charger
1
are triggered, the EV charger
1
must be set in accordance with the
line fuse for the building. The charge current must not, under any circumstances, be set higher than
the line fuse itself. Using the rotary switch for max. charge current
42
you can adjust the charge
current as follows:

Energy management setting:
For local load management, several EV chargers will be networked with one another using an
RS485 bus. These EV chargers share the total current available. An external control system is
therefore not required. By using this local load management system, the person commissioning the
system does not have worry about the communication between the EV chargers. They only need to
follow the settings shown below.
The energy management (Master/Slave) is adjusted as follows, using the Master/Slave
41
rotary
switch:
