Energy management connection:
The EV charger
1
can be operated with a load/energy management system. This enables the
connection of several EV chargers in combination with the monitoring of power distribution (load
management, Master/Slave).
If several EV chargers are connected to one power supply, the following connections are required on
the energy management PCB
15
.
–
J102/J103 are used to adjust the resistances in the RS485 communication. On the J102 plug, Pin1
and Pin2 are connected with a 2-pin cap. If the RS485 interface needs to be configured with an
appropriate resistance, move the 2-pin cap from Pin1 & Pin2 to Pin2 & Pin3, to connect it with an
appropriate R100 resistor.
–
In the same way, J103 can be connected with an R101 adjustment resistor. In general, the
resistance of the Slave machine which is furthest from the Master machine needs to be adjusted and
J102/J103 must be connected with the adjustment resistor at the same time.

Position the pin caps as follows:
With Smart Meter and Master/Slave installation:
If you are only connecting one EV charger to a mains supply, then no further adjustments are
required.
When delivered, the EV charger is set for this application. Without Smart Meter or Master/Slave
installation:
